Reading test, don't forget!

Tomorrow is our weekly reading test over the story "Fury of Fire" in our Storyworks magazine. If your child forgets their Storyworks, they don't get to take their reading test, which will result in a zero as their grade! The children are well aware of this.

HWPP - What in the world is that???

I've decided to start giving HWPP's in science class! What in the world is that? Well, it stands for Homework Prepared Points & it's really quite simple! If your child has their homework completed & with them in class, they will receive their 1 point for being prepared! If your child does not have their homework completed OR your child does not bring it with them to class, they will receive a zero for NOT being prepared! They can earn 1 point or a zero, it is their choice. 

SHOEBOXES NEEDED BY THURSDAY

Your child will need to bring in a shoebox for science class for a diorama project we're making in class. They need to bring it in by Thursday & it needs to be a decent size shoebox...no baby or toddler shoe sized boxes!

Thanksgiving Homework!!!

If you didn't finish your scary story final drafts in cursive, they need to be completed over break.  You need to turn in your final draft, rough draft & graphic organizer on Monday. 

Eat lots of turkey & enjoy time with your friends & family!

Lit Circle Books

You need to have your lit circle book finished & your LCJ finished for week 4 and ready to turn in on Monday! Don't forget to bring your LCB to turn into me Monday.

Tomorrow is our field trip to U.S. Bank Arena for Education in Hockey Day! Make sure you bring a snack for the field trip & money to buy your yummy pizza upon our return to school!!!

Lit Circles tomorrow

Don't forget, your lit circle books should be read through week 2 for tomorrow & you should have your lit circle journal ready to turn in.
*Remember if you turned your LCJ in late last week, you were supposed to look at your journal today for the prompt & write it on a separate sheet of paper for tomorrow!
