Wrapping things up

This week in reading, we're watching a documentary on the PBS website called "Through a Dog's Eyes." This documentary shows service dogs & how they're trained, raised & are paired with their owners. Feel free to watch this touching film. We'll be working on a writing assignment based on this eye opening documentary. We will have our last vocabulary packet and test this Friday.

In science, we are finishing our fabulous circuit boards, making our own flashlights & building our own solar cookers/ovens. Please send your student in with a flashlight bulb to make their own flashlight from scratch. I will supply them with the remaining materials, except the 2 D cell batteries that they already came with from home. I've also asked that the students bring in empty, unused pizza boxes for our solar cookers/ovens. We will be cooking S'mores in them, so we'll also need the goodies! We still need some chocolate bars & a box of graham crackers. Thank you for all of the donations and supplies you've sent your children in with already. Our cool end of the year projects wouldn't be possible without your generous donations & participation, so thank you!

HOMEROOM: don't forget to bring your bookfair money for WEDNESDAY!!!
